Free afterschool tutoring
Raleigh County Schools is happy to announce opportunities for students across the county to receive free afterschool tutoring. These services are made possible through Extended Program grants and provided by your child’s home school certified teachers.
Tutoring services may include…
· In person one-on-one or small group - core content academic sessions
· In person one-on-one or small group - critical school success tutoring sessions for items such as (organization skills, technology skills, study skills, test taking tips, etc.)
· In person one-on-one or small group - enrichment support (high stakes test prep SAT, ACT, etc., academic fairs, college/job readiness preparation, etc.)
Please contact your child’s school for details on scheduling tutoring services.
Not all schools offer after school services or services in all areas.
The Library Store will be closed this Thursday and Friday.
There will be no preschool this coming Friday the 7th or Friday the 14th.
There is no school for students on Monday, October 10th.

Parents: A note went home Friday regarding the Parent V.I.P. group meeting tomorrow, 9/12/22 at 5pm at the school. For those parents interested, this is Ridgeview’s parent organization. Meetings are typically held in the Art room.
Teachers interested in being involved in our first ever RUN CLUB: there will be a brief meeting after school, Thursday, 9/8, in the conference room beginning as soon as all students are gone. Fun stuff. 😊

Due to the closure of the railroad track at Pemberton church tomorrow, bus 52 will be running 10 minutes later than usual on his evening run.
There will be no school on Monday, 9/5.
Also, automated attendance calls are not being made currently due to technical difficulties at the state level.

Clarification:
We are hearing girls saying they are staying after school for volleyball tryouts. Volleyball does not start until 5:30 this evening. Girls will be sent home first and must be brought back to school. They will need picked up at 7:30.
Basketball Tryouts are from 4:00-5:30 today.

Open House is today from 3-5 pm. Students can bring their Summer Bridge Reading Log back for a prize. See you soon!
The Cheerleading Meeting is for students in Grades 3-5.
Cheerleading Meeting for girls (and parents if interested) who want to try-out will be held on Friday, August 26th, 3:45-5:00 in the school gym.
Don’t forget that Open House is this Wednesday from 3:00-5:00.
Kindergarten Orientation will be Thursday at 9:00 am. Parents will bring your student to school, stay for the meeting with the teacher, then leave and your child stays at school. Be prepared to tell your child’s teacher what their transportation plans are for the afternoon.
Preschool Orientation will on August 30th and 31st at 9:00 am. Same rules apply as K.
Parent drop off starts at 8:00. Parent pick up will be a little later this year beginning at 3:30. This is due to transportation issues with our buses, and may need to be a flexible schedule until we can see how long it takes to get our buses out.

All students wishing to try out MUST have a physical turned in, in order to stay for tryouts.
